Illness and Medication

Please telephone the school by 9.30am on the first day of absence. ( 01502 478328 ) You may leave a message on the answer phone if no one is available to take your call.
The school operates a first day response to absences; we will attempt to contact you if we have not heard from you. This is because we believe it is our responsibility to ensure your child´s safety. The school register closes at 9.15am.

Illness at School

If your child is taken ill at school you will be contacted as quickly as possible. For this reason it is vital that if you change your address or telephone number you let us know straight away, and similarly we need an up-to-date record of your family doctor. We must also be told of any medical condition or allergy you child has. Should your child have a serious accident in school you will be contacted immediately and in the event of a parent not being available, your child will be taken to the appropriate casualty department.

Medicines

School staff are not able to administer medicines. However, we will supervise the taking of medicine for those children with long-term illnesses or allergies ie: asthmas sufferers.
