School Improvement Plan
The School adopts a new Improvement Plan each year, which provides a structure to improve the process and quality of learning for all of our pupils. It enables us to introduce changes and innovations rationally. It brings together all aspects of school planning and helps turn long term vision into short-term achievable goals.
This years targets are:
- To further develop opportunities & raise standards in P.E. within & outside curriculum hours
- To improve teaching & learning in R.E. by implementing the revised Suffolk R.E. curriculum on a rolling programme
- To improve opportunities for teaching & learning throughout KS1 through reorganisation of staffing & the room
- To improve the standard of reading in both Key Stages through the introduction of a more comprehensive phonic scheme of work
- To work towards more healthy lifestyles and ecological awareness throughout the school
Part of our Plan covers Buildings, Access, Grounds and Security and this years targets are:
- Use knowledge & experience from the community building project to implement a plan for an office/staff area
- To improve safety with new path & gate across the back field
- To clear the pond
- To continue to raise the profile of Gardening club & to continue to use the produce grown as part of our work towards healthy schools
